Description
The present hall and chapel were built by Rowland Egerton-Warburton between 1832 and 1845 in the Victorian-Jacobean style. Each of the main rooms in the hall has an individual character and charm. There is fine plaster work and panelling, a magnificent library and historic family furniture, pictures and porcelain. Arley is now the home of Viscount and Viscountess Ashbrook.
The Hall provides a special location for corporate or private functions and has been used for several period and contemporary television dramas.
The Arley estate consists of over 2,000 acres of parkland, farmland and woodland with several farms, cottages and estate buildings. The delightful Arley Green, with its listed buildings and village green, is a secret gem tucked away on the estate and only accessible by footpath.
Weddings and Corporate Functions:
Historic splendour and magical gardens are not only reasons Arley Hall is one of the finest venues in Cheshire for civil marriage ceremonies and wedding receptions. The main attraction is that the Hall is exclusively yours for your special day. On a fine day, guests can enjoy a champagne reception in the gardens and the bride and groom can be photographed against the backdrop of the herbaceous border, Ilex avenue and walled garden. Alternatively, the four principal rooms in the house offer a series of charming backdrops and each contribute to the ambience of the reception.
Arley Hall, its gardens and surrounding to 2,000 acres is also a popular venue for all styles of corporate events from major product launches and conferences to outdoor team building and clay pigeon shooting.
The Hall is offered either as exclusive use of the four principal rooms, which all have their own individual character and charm or on an individual room basis for small corporate meetings and functions. Fully inclusive day delegate rates are available from £55.00 per person.
Arley Gardens:
Recently voted one of the top 50 gardens in Europe, the gardens feature the oldest and finest double herbaceous borders in the country. They were praised by Gertrude Jekyll and Roy Lancaster describes them as "one of the most exciting and unpredictable gardens I know".
Created by the same family over successive generations Arley is a plantsman's paradise. Many unique features include the giant columns of Quercus Ilex, the Pleached Lime Avenue and yew topiary. With two Walled Gardens, one dedicated to ornamental shrubs and the other retaining some of the vegetable garden, scented, herb and Shrub Rose gardens, and a delightful Victorian Rootree Arley offers you a peaceful oasis in a busy world.
Chris Beardshaw, award winning garden designer and TV presenter, commented on Arley: 'Rarely is it possible to encounter a garden that combines extraordinary heritage, exemplary good taste and inspiring horticultural - all these three ingredients come together at Arley Hall'.

Have kids and need to hunt Tiggers in The Grove and find freebie Easter eggs? This is the place for locals (green use of 4WDs, surely?). Lots more to come this year but even better if you really, rea...
