An enchanting formal garden, influenced by Gertrude Jekyll and laid out in a series of walled rooms, including the White Garden, the Rose and Iris Garden and the Lily Garden.
The working kitchen garden has espaliered apple, pear and plum trees trained along high stone walls.
The Tudor manor house was restored in the 1920s by the Lyle family. It is let to Stuart Interiors as showrooms with antique furniture for sale, thereby offering NT visitors a different kind of visit.
The Long Gallery in the Court House is now fully accessible via a staircase built by Stuart Interiors

27th February - 31st October: daily except Wednesday, 11 am - 5 pm
6th - 28th November: Saturday & Sunday, 11 am - 4 pm.
Strode House Restaurant:
27th Febraury - 30th March: daily, 11 am - 5 pm
1st April - 30th September: Monday - Tuesday & Thursday - Friday, 12 noon - 3 pm
3rd April - 26th September: Saturday & Sunday, 12 noon - 5 pm
October: daily except Wednesday, 11 am - 5 pm
6th - 28th November: Saturday & Sunday, 11 am - 4 pm
Beagles cafe:
1st April - 3rd October: daily except Wednesday, 11 am - 5 pm
NB. Cafe may be close in poor weather(October) but restaurant will be open.
Last admission 30 minutes before closing.
