Ancestral home of Viscount and Viscountess Daventry. This lovely Elizabethan mansion house, Gothicised in the 18th century and now regarded as the `Gothic Gem of the Midlands`, contains important collections of paintings, furniture, glass and china. Lovely Gardens and Park with wooded walks and lakes.
George Eliot born on the Estate in 1819 and she featured Arbury in many of her novels. Stable Tea Rooms and Gift Shop. Hall and Gardens open (Tues, Weds & Thurs only) all the year round for Corporate Functions and Events. Pre-booked parties on week days (Tues, Weds & Thurs only) for 25 and over from Easter until end of September and the Hall and Gardens open to the public on Bank Holiday Weekends only (Sunday and Monday) from Easter to September.

Easter - end of September: open Bank Holiday (Sunday & Monday), 2 - 5 pm
Pre-booked visits for groups of (25+) on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (until 4 pm).

I have visited Arbury Hall since I was about 8 years old and I'm now 66 years old. When young I visited it about 5 times a year, on foot as we didn't have a car, the 'long' walk up the drive was part ...
